My first craft show: Knit + Stitch 2026
This October, I’m doing something I’ve never done before: I’m taking No Panic Crafts to my first big craft show!
I’ll be exhibiting at the Knit + Stitch Show at Alexandra Palace in London from 8–11 October 2026, on stand C44.
And honestly, I’m somewhere between very excited and slightly terrified 😅
How did this happen?
No Panic Crafts is a really small brand, basically just me. I design crochet patterns, make DIY kits and handmade things, pack orders, take photos, make videos, answer emails... basically everything all by myself.
So when I applied for the Knit + Stitch Show, I honestly didn’t expect to get accepted. I thought shows like this were for someone bigger and more established, not newcomers who work from their apartment. But somehow I was accepted, and I’m super happy about it! 🤩
I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but I’m not at all afraid of it, since it’s such a great opportunity for me to meet new people and show them my work. So I started preparing.
Preparations
I would split the preparations into 3 big parts: my products, stand setup and documents.
Products
Preparing the goods turned out to be the longest but easiest part. It was actually so much fun! I made so many cool things.
I now know how to make a book at home! I always wanted to make printed versions of my patterns, and this event pushed me to actually do it.
I also made tiny chart stickers and 10 new DIY kits. Can you imagine? 👀
Some of these products are already on my site, and the rest will be added after the show.
Stand setup
The stand itself was another big thing to figure out. I had to decide what furniture I needed, how I wanted everything to be displayed, where the shelves should go, and what kind of signs and banners I wanted.
For now, almost everything is ready: furniture rented, fire-retardant tablecloth and displays bought, banners and signs designed and waiting to be printed, and transport arranged.
Documents
And then there are the documents... 😳
There have been so many forms, declarations, risk assessments and safety requirements to go through. I’ve never done anything like this before, so there was a lot to figure out.
But for now, approximately 1 million forms are filled in 🙈, and I think I’m finally getting close to being ready!
My stand: C44
My stand is 2 × 2 metres, with three walls and one open side.
I’m planning to have a table at the front with my patterns, kits and other crochet bits, with a shelf behind it for more products and displays.
This is how I plan it to look without the products:
Can’t wait to see it in reality and fill it with my kits and books!
Right now, it’s 2 more weeks before the show. I’m still excited and still slightly terrified that everything will go wrong, that no one will even come to my stand, and many other anxious thoughts.
But even if so, it has already been an amazing experience. I have never felt as empowered as when I filled in the Health and Safety Declaration all by myself 😅
Anyway, I’m grateful for the chance and hope for the best! Wish me luck!
Come and say hello!

P.S. The Hexagon Cardigan
I also decided that I needed something new to wear for the show, so I made myself a Hexagon Cardigan.
I found the experience quite enjoyable despite all the frogging and rethinking 😅
What do you think? Do you like it? Have you ever crocheted a hexagon cardigan? Tell me about your experience!
That’s it for now! See you at the show!
